Welcome to Carnegie Lodge Hotel Overlooking the town of Tain - the historic and oldest Royal Burgh in Scotland, Carnegie Lodge Hotel enjoys the benefits of a countryside outlook while only a ten minute walk from the town centre. Tain itself lies on the southern shore of the Dornoch Firth, in Easter Ross. The area is reputed to have the lowest average rainfall in Scotland. Sitting on the A9 trunk road leading north through Inverness and all the way up to Wick in Caithness, Tain is well situated to be used as a central staging post for daily tourist trips around the north and west. Carnegie Lodge Hotel is owned and managed by Derek and Heather Wynne, a husband and wife team, supported by a genuinely happy and cheery 'family' of hand picked catering and hospitality staff. Throughout, the hotel is beautifully furnished and decorated, with a special emphasis being placed on providing relaxed and friendly surroundings and atmosphere. The area provides for a number of outdoor pursuits such as golfing, and is literally speckled with no less than 12 championship courses within one hour's drive. If you prefer alternative leisure pursuits then there is horse riding, walking, bird watching and simply chilling out!
